Raz Arad

Raz Arad was born in 1993 in Israel. He began his trumpet studies in 2002 at Karmiel’s Music Conservatory and graduated with honors in 2011. He has served as a member of the IDF orchestra.
Today Raz studies at the Buchman-Mehta School of Music in the class of Ram Oren.
Raz performed with several orchestras in Israel including Haifa Symphony Orchestra and Netanya Kibbutz Orchestra. In 2014 he performed with the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by maestro Omer Wellber. In 2015 he performed in the Chamber music festival in Moritzburg, Germany, as part of the festivals’ academy orchestra under the direction of Milan Turković.
In 2016 he performed in the Opera festival in Mezzano, Italy. He also played as soloist with the Buchman-Mehta School of Music Orchestra. In 2017 he performed with the Suzhou Symphony Orchestra and the maestro Xu Zhong. In addition he performed with the MCO academy orchestra and Daniel Harding. He took part in the masterclass of Kristian Steenstrup and Reinhold Friedrich in Sicily.
In 2012 he has won the 3rd prize in the national trumpet competition in Ra’anana. He is a recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarship for the years 2015-18. Recently, Raz joined Haifa Symphony Orchestra as principal trumpet player.
