Acclaimed cellist Linor Katz made her debut as a soloist with the Czech Radio Orchestra at Dvorak Hall in the Rudolfinum in Prague and has since performed with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the Israeli Opera Orchestra and the Thelma Yellin Symphony. She is a member of the West Eastern Divan Orchestra conducted by Daniel Barenboim and has played with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in Israel, Europe and Japan. She has won numerous awards and scholarships, such as the Chamber Music Competition of the Buhman-Mehta School of Music, the Annual Competition of the Israeli Conservatory of Music, scholarships from the Ronen Foundation and a number of others. Linor is currently completing her Masters degree with Mr. Laurence Lesser at the New England Conservatory in Boston, where she was granted a full scholarship.
